Fridah Ntarangwi is the Director of ZIDI. She is involved in the daily management of the company including deal sourcing and execution. With her extensive knowledge of the financial sector in the Netherlands and Kenya, she has interacted closely with the Dutch institutional investors as well as her broad network in the Kenyan banking sector. She has played great roles in financial inclusion projects like the Netherlands finance for agriculture project in Kenya and the treasury mobile direct by the National Treasury and the World Bank to foster investments in treasury bills and bonds through the mobile technology. Prior to Founding ZIDI, Fridah was a Senior Manager -SME Advisory at Financial Access(ING buyout) where she handled the investment portfolio for SME’s funding in West and East Africa. In that capacity she closed deals worth over Euro 5 Million within a span of one year. For the MFI’s she was a lead consultant in restructuring, fintech product development and profitability design projects in East Africa. She gained wide experience in impact investment analysis while at the Dutch giant pension Fund PGGM, and also project visibility analysis for the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Nairobi). Having worked for the Central bank of Kenya as a lead in the Primary Issuance of government securities and Financial Markets analysis, she has a broad network in the Kenyan financial sector and the larger east African community. Fridah has a master of science in Finance-Financial Markets specialization from Duisenberg school of Finance (Vrije Universiteit & university of Amsterdam) in the Netherlands. She carries the Duisenberg tittle ‘Woman in Finance’ that was awarded in conjunction with QS Quacquarelli Symonds in the UK that recognizes high potential women that can influence the financial landscape. She also holds a bachelor of Commerce (Finance option) from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and Accountancy training from Strathmore University. In total she has over 11 years hands on financial sector experience.
